LIQUID ZINC SPECIAL FINISH MELBOURNE

Special finishes will produce unique effects

We recently completed a project which featured the Porters Paints’s liquid zinc special finish. First the substrate must first be sealed with a sealer undercoat. After which the zinc powder and paste must be mixed onsite because it has a short pot life.

Once mixed the coating should be applied in a minimum of 2 coats. After applied and coating has dried the activation gel should be applied in a random fashion.

We chose to use a spray bottle and to cause thicker areas with a build up almost running down the wall to achieve maximum effect. We believe the key with this finish is the more random the application/s the better the outcome.
